Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood has been warning anyone who will listen that those who make threats against schools will face dire consequences.

It is everyone’s responsibility to get involved and assist with intervention techniques designed to move an individual off the Pathway To Violence!

But it appears some people still have to learn things the hard way.

That seems to have been the case with a 17-year-old DeLeon Springs girl who threatened to shoot up T. Dewitt Taylor Middle-High School in Pierson right after watching one of his videos. The girl was arrested Wednesday after posting “Ima shoot up the school” on the Snapchat social media platform.
